My dream job would be to become a senior web designer. With determination and the experience I am obtaining in the field of web design, I hope to achieve this goal within the next two years. This will allow me to use all of the skills and knowledge I have acquired over the years both as a manager and as a creative web designer. I never really saw myself as a manager but over the years I have grown in the job and have learned to enjoy the benefits of working with others. It’s rewarding to help others achieve their goals as well as promoting the goals of the company. Some may see management as a position of power, but I see it as a position from which I can help others better themselves and the company for which we work.
My Goal
I am currently an Operations manager at UPS in Scranton, PA. I have worked there for 12 years. Before I took on the job as manager at UPS, I went to SUNY Orange and graduated with an Associates Degree in Visual Communications. Technology and art have always been a big part of my life and I was looking for more ways to express my interest in both. I decided to finish my Bachelors Degree in Internet and Web Development in hope of achieving my goal to obtain a career in web design. Even in my current position as a manager I implement my creative designs in my current role. For example I have created safety slogans for the drivers each day through computer illustration programs.
